My research examines psychological processes related to group membership and social identity. I am particularly interested in how our evaluations of other groups and individuals impact the way we perceive ourselves, both as individuals and as members of our social identity groups. More generally, I investigate issues related to stereotyping and prejudice, normative social influence, interpersonal comparisons, and the role of social identity in determining collective and personal self-esteem.

Primary Interests:

  • Gender Psychology
  • Prejudice and Stereotyping
  • Self and Identity
