My research focuses on the manner in which individuals are evaluated as members of social groups. Specifically, I am interested in how people perceive ingroup and outgroup members, and how these perceptions of other people influence evaluations of the groups and the self. I research issues related to stereotyping and prejudice, intergroup relations, social identity, and social comparison. I am also involved in a research program focusing on the measurement of implicit attitudes. |
